Current Participant Interviews
Section titled “Current Participant Interviews”In the quiet months between writer/artist matching and works being due, we still want to keep a sense of excitement and camaraderie—and celebration!—going among our participants. We want to know what drives you create, what you enjoy making, your favourite tropes, and more!
Every artist and every author has the opportunity to participate, if they would like. Interviews are optional, but we highly recommend them as they are a lot of fun and provide a fantastic opportunity for creators to get to know one another.
Two interview types are available:
- An “in-person” interactive interview with mod Alix, which takes place as a text-based chat over Discord. This is a more free-form conversation that will take approximately 45 minutes.
- A “solo” written interview, which allows you submit answers to a list of fun questions (for those who prefer not to talk to anyone ;) )
You can see examples of our interviews from 2025 here.
Interactive Interview Option
Section titled “Interactive Interview Option”Sign-ups for interviews with Alix will begin on August 1 and will remain open until September 15. Interviews can be booked for any time between August 1 and October 15. We will send out an email with information about how to schedule a slot when booking opens.
These interviews will take place in a text-based Discord chat (no audio or video) and will last approximately 45 minutes. Please keep in mind that Alix’s schedule will fill up, and that there are likely to be more people interested in interviews than there are slots available. Sign up early to ensure you get your spot!
We do recommend doing the interactive option if you are able! The format is a lot of fun and it is an opportunity to have a conversation about your writing/art, your creative process, Dragon Age more broadly, or really anything else
Following the interview, the transcript will be edited and posted to the Dragon Age Big Bang tumblr. You will have the opportunity to review the transcript before it is posted!
Written Interview Option
Section titled “Written Interview Option”Written interviews will also open on August 1. You will be able to choose fun questions to answer from a list, and fill out a form with your answers. Your written answers will be posted to the event tumblr. Written submissions are due by September 15.
